Butley Village Hall
The hall is available for a wide range of events including parties, weddings, musical events, club activities, yoga and fitness classes. The building is well heated for times when the weather is chilly and french doors open onto a patio and lawned area in summer.
We are able to accommodate large tents and marquees in the adjacent field by agreement with the neighbouring farmer and the play area makes it the perfect venue for family gatherings and children’s parties. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery and cutlery for up to 100 people, included in all bookings at no extra cost.
The premises are licenced under the Premises Licence Act 2003 and we have a Performing Rights Society Licence for music. If you wish to sell alcoholic drinks at your event, you will need to obtain a licence from the local authority which we can advise on. Our aim is to make your booking as stress free as possible. Our Bookings Secretary will be pleased to show you around and discuss flexible booking arrangements tailored to your needs.
Your celebrations
Our hall is the perfect blank canvas on which to design your special day, with capacity to welcome up to 100 people at wedding receptions or other large social events. Double doors open onto the patio and grassed area with space for an additional marquee or yurt if required. We can supply crockery and cutlery and can suggest local suppliers for other equipment you may need.
The hall is set in a pleasant rural area and bordered with trees and an open field. We have ample parking beside the hall to accommodate your guests and access is easy for wheelchair users.
Hire the hall
The charge for hire of the hall (including use of the kitchen and WCs) is £10.00 per hour in the summer months, or £15 per hour in the winter months (to cover electric heating costs). Charges for other block bookings are available on enquiry.
